(Wedding Hymn)

Merikanto composed this anthem for Aino Ackté's wedding on May 6, 1901, when the poem “Wedding Anthem” written by J. H. Erkko was performed. The manuscript of the original anthem has not been found, only the organ arrangement made by Merikanto himself is known from the 1903 publication [Nordiskt Orgel-Album 1903]. The timing of the arrangement is not known, but it is likely that the arrangement was made relatively soon after the premiere so that it has had time for this Swedish publication.
